211 Colorado is a statewide community resource connecting individuals and families to critical resources including food, shelter, rental assistance, childcare, and more. Call 2-1-1 or Text your zip code to 898-211 (message and data rates apply). You can also access their web based search function for more help. is the most comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date aggregation of free and reduced-cost programs helping Americans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five Loaves Food Pantry

Five Loaves Food Pantry serves those in need during our daylight saving time hours of 4:00-5:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. The pantry carries canned good, meat and dairy products in addition to non-food items. Located at 209 East 1st Street in McClave (the site of the former McClave store)

Care and Share Food Bank of Southern CO

The Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado has locations and partners across Southern Colorado that can connect residents with food resources at pantries, kitchens and box distribution sites. Domestic Violence

Child Abuse and Neglect

To report suspected child abuse or neglect call the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1-844-CO-4-Kids. Learn more about child abuse and neglect and supports for families at


At-Risk Adults

To report concerns of mistreatment or self-neglect for an at-risk adult, contact Adult Protective Services at the local county human services office where the at-risk adult lives.

Helping Hands of Las Animas

Helping Hands offers free budgeting classes at the applicants’ convenience.  Classes are available on an individualized basis. Volunteers are willing to meet around your schedule. There is also a USDA Commodities Program on the second Monday of every month at 10:00 am at the Bent County garage behind the Bent Courthouse.

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless supports individuals across the state. Activated Respite provides motel rooms for people experiencing homelessness with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 via active symptoms or a positive COVID test within the last 10 days.
